The Road To Publishing Success Is Paved With HubNuggets
71
Here we go again, folks! I have the next ten contenders in the weekly HubNugget extravaganza. But before we get into the festivities, I thought we should take a quick look at what it means to be a HubNugget Wannabe. For all of you new hubbers and hubbers yet to be, your publishing success could start right here and now.
Getting published is no big trick, these days. There are a lot of websites out there where you can write your own story or article, hit the publish button and presto! Of course, Hubpages is the best and easiest to use, among them; and quality hubs seem to have a way of getting noticed by Google.
The big G might take some time in finding you, though. In the meantime, you would really like to get noticed. Enter: (fanfare) The HubNugget Team. Every week, we pore over 2000 or more hubs published by new hubbers. If we picked yours, that means we thought it was one of the best. You just got noticed!
But wait, there's more. When we find your masterpiece, we'll publish a link to it in the Official HubNugget hub (just like the one you're reading now), which has the potential to be read by thousands of other hubbers, as well as any non-hubbers who pop in looking for something to read. Did I mention the poll? Everyone who drops by is encouraged to vote for their favorite hub. When the voting is done and the smoke settles, links to the top 5 hubs are published in the weekly newsletter which goes out to tens of thousand of people. If you're one of the lucky 5, you just got noticed in a BIG way!
Where you take it from there is entirely up to you, but the HubNugget team is here to help you get the ball rolling. Now before you race off to join hubpages and publish that award winning piece of literature, why not scroll on down the page, meet the team, read a few hubs and vote?
Your Tireless HubNugget Team
Ryan (Hup) Hupfer is Hubpages "Communicator of Awesomeness", and the go-to guy for the the entire HubNugget team. As the only Hubpages staffer on the team, he makes sure the weekly voting goes smoothly, and publishes the all important newsletter. If you Google "Awesome", this guy will probably be one of the top results!
Shirley Anderson is definitely our MVP. She is a seasoned pro, and is often seen giving valuable advice to new hubbers and aspiring freelancers. If she has something to say, you had better listen!
ProCW is our resident mad scientist, play write, poet, he does it all. He also tirelessly mines for HubNugget gold, and creates our graphics! With all of those responsibilities, he still finds time to write HubNugget hubs. If you haven't met this guy, you really should swing by his profile and say hi. Tell him B.T. sent you!
Patty Inglish is a martial arts grandmaster, an extraordinary Nuggetologist, and capable of writing more hubs before noon, than many of us will write in a month. I used to suspect that she had worked out a way to write hubs in her sleep. I have since come to believe that she just doesn't sleep. All she needs is a computer, and a steady supply of nuggets to keep her going.
Ripplemaker is the fabulous HubNugget cheerleader. Each week, Ripplemaker pops into the wannabes' hubs to surprise them with the news of their nomination, and offer encouragement. She's also been seen driving her Hubmobile around the HubNugget forum thread, and cheering every one on. Rah!
B.T. Evilpants (That's me!) is the most wretched, evil jackalope around. Bent on controlling the universe and manipulating the laws of physics, I also sniff out the tastiest HubNuggets and present them for your voting pleasure.
Now, on to this week's wannabes. They're in the next section. See 'em down there? They're waiting patiently to be read. Click the links, and read til your heart's content. Just make sure you come straight back here and vote!
What Is A HubNugget?
To be eligible for HubNugget consideration, you must have joined hubpages within the last 60 days, and have an author score of 75 or above. Your hub must have been published within the last 7 days, and have a hub score of 55 or above. That's it!
Now you may be asking how you can achieve all of that when you're still learning your way around here. Excellent question! If you recently joined us, then you're halfway there. If you haven't, why not go ahead and join now? It's free, and it only takes a few minutes.
Now about those scores. Build yourself a hub with well written, original content. Next, add a few relevant photos. You can even add a video, or news feed if you like. Move your capsules around to create an attractive layout, and preview your handy work. Now all that's left to do is hit that "publish" button, and watch your score rise. Your friends at HubNugget Central will do the rest!
If you want more detailed information, Shirley Anderson has written a hub on the whole process. You can find it here.

Which Wannabe Deserves To Be Published In The Hubpages Newsletter?
See results without votingI can't make up my mind :P lol

U-oh they are having trouble picking one hubnugget to vote. You did it again BT! Good choices. :) No voting for me yet...on my way to visit the hubs.
Great hub B.T. and thankyou for listing my hub as a wannabe hubnugget, I about fell off my chair when I heard from Ripplemaker about the nomination. After reading all the contestants hubs I am also having trouble deciding which one, but I got it narrowed down to two now, so I guess I can flip a coin if all else fails...hehe
Thanks again,
Matthew
VOTED! :)
Matthew, you can choose to vote for your hub! Yes, you can! :)
Awesome selection of Hub Nuggets!
well I finally did decide on my fave hub. They were all good. It was hard to narrow it down once again.

Voted already, hehehe I have two picks but settled for just one sigh... goodluck wannabes...
There are a couple of hubs that I wasn't able to leave a comment on because they don't have the capsule for doing so. Too bad, I enjoyed them and wanted to leave a note.
Whew! This doesn't get any easier as the weeks go by. I did finally make a choice and have cast my vote.
Great job, again!
Yes, again another fine line-up! It was difficult, but I finally voted for my fave! Great job by all - congratulations. Nice hub, B.T!
Ripplemaker, thanks but I already picked one that had more humor than mine ;) To be honest I was shocked to even be nominated because my articles are more informational than actually being artistic as an author. Thank you for the nomination everyone, it's awesome to even see my work up there with such talented authors.
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks, B.T. for the wannabe nomination; I am truly honored. Thank you to everyone who has voted for my article as well - I have "met" so many great people here on HP and plan on sticking around for a while!
i voted, good luck everybody

How do you choose hubbers for the wannabe list?
Great stuff. I'm putting this one on my radar.
